He chose a classic model, just to see what he could do with the chair’s design. “I was enthused by the try-out for free form modelling with foam,” says the designer, who became famous for his ragged chair and second-hand drawer for Droog Design. The foam chair sparks debate. When is a seat still a seat? It is accompanied by a side table that flows from the chair naturally. Much money is needed to research Duchenne muscular dystrophy. But for Remy it is also a small yet personal issue: a boy with a muscular disease.
